What makes hosting agentic
Most hosts have added a chatbot. It reads a knowledge base and tells you where to click. The account still waits for you to click it. Agentic hosting removes that last gap: the assistant holds credentials to the control panel, calls the same APIs a human administrator would, and reports back on what it changed.
Three things separate an agent from a chatbot: it takes actions on real systems, it carries state across a multi-step job so a failed step can resume rather than restart, and it tells you honestly when a step failed instead of claiming success.
- Acts on live cPanel and WHM APIs, not on documentation
- Verifies ownership of the domain or account before touching anything
- Asks for explicit confirmation before destructive or paid actions
- Writes every action to an audit log you and our staff can read
- Reports failure states plainly, with the underlying error
What our agent can actually do today
- Install and configure WordPress, including database, admin user and SSL
- Create, update and delete mailboxes, then send a real test message to prove delivery
- Diagnose email problems end to end — SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX and inbound round trip
- Add addon domains and write matching Cloudflare DNS records in one step
- Check and install SSL certificates, and renew ones close to expiry
- Search a domain, quote the real price in USD and FCFA, and register it after approval
- Renew a domain from your wallet, funded by MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money
- Upgrade or downgrade a hosting plan with a pro-rated quote
- Read and edit WordPress or PHP files inside the document root, with backups
Guardrails, because an agent with server access needs them
An agent that can create can also destroy. Every capability above is bounded by checks that run on our servers, not inside the model's reasoning, so a persuasive prompt cannot talk its way past them.
- Ownership is verified server-side against your account before any tool runs
- Paid actions stop at an itemised approval showing first-term and renewal prices
- Destructive actions — terminate, delete, overwrite — require a typed confirmation and land in an admin queue
- File edits keep a restorable backup and are limited to allowlisted paths and extensions
- No shell or root access is exposed to the agent
- Every action is logged with actor, resource, result and timestamp
Who agentic hosting is for
It helps most where technical staff are scarce and time is expensive: a founder in Douala launching a first shop, an association in Bamenda that needs email that reaches inboxes, a diaspora business running a site from abroad, or an agency managing dozens of client accounts who would rather describe a task once than repeat it in twenty control panels.
It is not a replacement for judgement. You still decide what to buy, what to delete and when to migrate. The agent removes the hours between the decision and the working result.
Agentic hosting and hosting AI agents are not the same thing
Two questions get mixed up. Agentic hosting is an AI running your hosting. Hosting AI agents is running your own bot or automation on a server. They need different setups — a long-running agent needs persistent processes, outbound API access and a way to keep secrets, which shared cPanel handles for some workloads and not others.
Our guide on hosting AI agents covers where each type of workload belongs.

Frequently asked questions
What is agentic web hosting?
- Hosting where an AI agent performs administration tasks directly on the server — installing software, configuring DNS and email, issuing SSL, adding domains and changing plans — rather than only answering questions about how to do them.
Does the AI have full control of my hosting account?
- It has scoped access through our control-panel APIs, limited to resources you own. It cannot use a shell, cannot act as root, and cannot run paid or destructive actions without your explicit confirmation.
What happens if the agent fails halfway through a task?
- It reports the failure with the real error and the step it reached. Long jobs such as WordPress installation are resumable, so a retry continues rather than starting over, and nothing is silently marked complete.
Is agentic hosting more expensive?
- No. It runs on our standard cPanel plans from $1.99 per month for Starter; the agent is included rather than sold as an add-on.
Can I still use cPanel myself?
- Yes. You keep full cPanel access with one-click login from your client area, and anything the agent does is visible there afterwards.
Which payment methods work inside the agent?
- MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money in FCFA, plus card and cryptocurrency in USD.
